Pruning Time

With winter now upon us and the vines leaves all but gone it’s the time of year they get their yearly haircut. Many people ask which vines we prune first? The easier rule of thumb for us at Harman Wines is we prune in the reverse order of how we pick. So the Shiraz variety is pruned first followed by our Pinot noir and then onto the whites. This year we are bit slower of the make as our winemaker David went and broke his wrist so he’ll be playing catch up later this winter to ensure they are all done before Spring arrives
